The history of Hubertus

How it all began

When our grandparents opened the Hubertus pensione in 1969, the structure was characterized by sobriety. Today, almost 50 years and three generations later, we welcome you to a 3-star Superior hotel, and we open the door to an extraordinary oasis of peace and well-being in the Isarco Valley.

1970

In 1970 our grandparents inaugurate a pensione with 18 beds.

1975

In 1978 the management of the Hubertus is passed on to son Hansjörg.

1980

In 1980 Hansjörg expanded the structure. The beds become 56.
Four years later, an outdoor pool is added and the original rooms are renovated.

1985

In 1986 the parking lot was extended and the terrace was opened two years later.

1990

In 1991 Hansjörg married Gerda and their son Fabian was born.
An indoor pool is built and the private apartment is renovated.
In 1994 the renovation and expansion works of the restaurant and kitchen were completed.

1995

In 1995 Hubertus became a 3-star hotel. The reception and bar extension is completed. Furthermore, an underground garage is added.
In 1997 the annex is inaugurated.
In 1999 the second and third floors were renovated.
Fabian is no longer an only child: twins Philip and Tobias are born.

2000

The first floor is renovated.
In 2002 the renovation of the outdoor pool was completed.
In 2003 the tavern was extended. The following year the Hubertus is ehanced with a fitness room and a sauna area.

2005

Between 2005 and 2006, two new areas were added: a lawn for relaxing outdoors and two garages.
In 2007 the rooms of the old pensione are renovated.
In 2008 a new sauna was built and the private apartment was renovated.
The Hubertus becomes a 3-star Superior hotel.
The annex is refurbished and an elevator is added.

2010

Hubertus celebrates its 40th anniversary.
In 2014, the structure is enhanced with panoramic windows and the pool area with a large window, the so-called sun promenade.
A new hot tub followed by the renovation of the outdoor areas as well as a new sunny terrace.
Some rooms and suites are refurbished.

2015

In 2016 some rooms are renovated and extended. In addition, the dining room is renovated.
In 2017 the annex is completely renovated and construction begins for a new sauna.
